The quaint wine country town is a short walk, with a 10 minute drive to Kenwood, 15 minutes to Sonoma, and only 30 minutes to St Helena and Yountville in Napa.

Susan and her husband Michel Degive are the former owners of the Old
Crocker Inn in Cloverdale, California. The Degives bought the Inn in 2003.
At the time, the Inn (once the hunting Lodge of Charles Crocker, founder
of the Central Pacific Railroad) was just a private residence needing major
repairs. The Degives went to work implementing their detailed business plan,
and opened the Inn in March of 2004. Within one short year, the Inn became
a hot spot for people visiting Sonoma County.
The Degives won
multiple awards for the Old Crocker Inn:
- Best overall B&B in North America from Arrington's
2006 Book of Lists.
- Consistent Guest ratings of 5 stars
on TripAdvisor.com.
- Award of Merit from the California Heritage Council for restoring and preserving
the Crocker Lodge.
The Degives sold the Inn in 2005.
