About the Area

Located just ninety minutes from Denver, the town of Winter Park takes its clever name from the world class ski resort which borders it. Consistently voted Colorado’s favorite ski resort, Winter Park boasts 300 ski-able acres and 143 trails. Private and group skiing lessons are offered for adults and children and for the tiny tots too small for the slopes, childcare is also available.

This tour is a great way to challenge yourself both physically and mentally and makes for an extreme adrenaline rush! If snowboarding is your sport of choice, Winter Park is the ideal spot to perfect your madd freestyle boarding skills and learn some new techniques to add to your repertoire. Itching to hit slope on a snow mobile? Enjoy views of the whole entire Winter Park ski area while feeding your need for speed! In addition to these exciting winter activities, there are also dogsled tours offered in the area as well as three skating rinks and a tubing hill.

In the fall, Winter Park welcomes big game hunters from all over the country. Join a hunting outfitter and stalk the elusive elk or deer. Hunting outfitters offer food and tents as trips often last several days.

When the pretty summer rolls into Winter Park, it becomes a Mecca for the hardcore mountain biker. Boasting some of the best single track trails in the country, this resort also hosts some of the most bone jarring, cut throat, excitement filled biking competitions on the mountain! Swimming below the glassy surface of the frigid waters of Winter Park is a variety of marine life including, Mackinaw and Kokanee salmon, Rainbow, Brook, German Brown and Cutthroat trout.
