This historic inn is situated next to the Big Thompson River on 22.7 acres, and approximately 12 miles outside of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado's most popular tourist destination. The primary season traveling season is from mid-May through the end of October, although the Park operates year round, and winter visitors come up to the park to cross country ski, snowshoe and hike. There are also many festivals and other activities that bring visitors to the area.
The building was contructed in 1901, and has been extensively remodeled and expanded throughout the years. The most recent remodel occurred in 2006 with the addition of ten unique and charming rooms, all located on the second level. The main building houses a full service restaurant and bar, and there is a stage in the dining area which host live entertainment on week-ends. The restuarant has an appealing rustic western decor with large log beams, vaulted ceilings, and stained glass.
Each room in the inn has been decorated with a different animal theme and features colorful quilts, knotty pine waintscoting, handmade log headboards and luggage racks, wood floors.
The lot has 315 feet of river frontage and there are 14 RV campsites with electric, water, and payshower available for campers. On the west side of the lodge is an outdoor event centure uses for concerts and weddings, large enough to accomodate 150 people or more.
The main building houses a lobby with a gift shop, and an upper mezzanie with fireplace and big screen TV. The large amount of common area, both indoors and out, affords a variety of uses and expansion potential.
